As some of you May remember, MTV made hip-hop history 20 years ago by launching a new format music show, Yo! MTV Raps. In Apr 2008, MTV will be bringing the program back, and to help celebrate, PUMA will launch a hot new limited edition capsule collection of co-branded footwear in honor of the Yo! comeback. The return of the MTV series will take a reflective look at the evolution of hip-hop, and the new PUMA collection takes a reflective turn by bringing back the most iconic heritage styles from PUMA’s past.
Old-school hip-hop heads will be happy, as PUMA will bring back styles such as The Suede, First Round, RS 100, and Match. These sneakers feature Yo! branded tongues, laces, and Yo! logo patterns in eye-catching colors.
Beginning Apr 19, there will be limited pairs of these shoes available at select sneaker boutiques and select PUMA Concept Stores. A second follow-up drop is scheduled later in May featuring the same styles in different color/material combos.
