Radio K and Black Corners team up once again to bring Minneapolis another not-to-be missed event. On Thursday Mar 20th, 2008 Muja Messiah will release a mixtape called MPLS Massacre (Black Corners) that will lead up to his highly anticipated solo album, Thee Adventures Of A B-Boy D-Boy released by Black Corners. The mixtape includes exclusive appearances by Slug, M.anifest, Buda Tye, I-Self Devine, Samahra of Black Blondie, Raw Villa, St. Paul Slim, Zed Zilla and the rookie Dodi Phy. Muja has been busy creating a buzz on music blogs around the world with three singles off the mixtape; a remix of M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” feat. M.anifest, “Amy Winehouse”, which takes on Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and “True Lies” a controversial track about the current state of politics in the United States. Muja Messiah has also been featured at URB’s Next 1000 with the track “Beautiful” featuring Samahra the lead singer of Black Blondie and was listed by Vibe Magazine as one of The 51 Best Myspace Rappers.
The lovely Saucy Dame Delux, an Original B-Girl, will host the evening’s festivities at the 7th Street Entry. Taking to the stage will be Muja Messiah,I-Self Devine, M.anifest, Maria Isa, Dodi Phy and DJ Turtleneck. The night will be anything but dull expect excitement, laughs, giveaways and of course a great performance by all artists on the bill.
