Five new apps + widgets for your ‘Touch…
This summer, when we first heard the iPhone could be hacked to enable its wi-fi without a person having to buy phone service, we thought: “Too bad the iPod doesn’t have wi-fi” Then the iPod Touch came along, and while we were fortunate enough to get a demo, we quickly realized that this beast could do so much more, if one would just ask it to, nicely…So it’s good to see that Apple have added Mail (works with most standard Pop3 and IMAP systems) Notes, Maps, Stocks and Weather. Admittedly, we think it’s unfair for early adapters to have to pay for something that will be included free with iPod Touches being shipped from the factory now, but we’re hoping that Apple will offer unlimited free upgrades which continue to make the most out of the iPod Touch.
