Tiger Stripes – Safari (Review)

Tiger Stripes

Safari

Released by King Street Sounds

If you’re looking for a CD that’ll make you feel as if you’re dancing to disco-y house on an island in the Caribbean circa the 1970’s, then this is the CD for you. Tiger Stripes, who was born Mikael Nordgren, started playing instruments such as the bass, drums, and piano when he was a child and has been dedicated to the house genre since the boom hit his homeland of Sweden in the late 80s. Writing, producing, and arranging almost every track on this album, Mr. Nordgren takes full creative credit of the production that makes Safari the album it is. Just press play on the first track, ‘Spirited Away’, and you’ll start to drift into dance mode. With the shortest track at just under 5 minutes, this CD will have you shaking your booty as you get ready to go out and party like the rock star you are.
