Saigon’s single saves

sai Saigons single saves

The first single off of Saigon's new album The Greatest Story Never Told, “C'mon Baby” (produced by none other than Just Blaze) is a certifiable banger. I truly thought this would be the record to shift the tides away from ringtone rap, but rather appropriately and unsurprisingly, everytime I turn the dial to the local hip-hop stations, I just keep getting more (and more) T-Pain. But that's beside the point. Word is Sai's got a special guest for the album version of the new cut.

And it's none other than El Presidente himself, Jay-Z. Sai recently told Scratch magazine about working with Hov on the record: “The album version has Jay-Z on it. Jay didn’t clear it for a single, but he cleared it for the album. I might do a new verse 'cause Jay's verse is stupid. I had that beat for like two weeks [before] I wrote something I liked. [Jay] heard the beat for 10 minutes and went in and laid some crazy shit.”

So don't fret hip-hop fans, this album will most def be the truth. Most of the production on the album is being handled by Just Blaze, and now that all troublesome samples have been cleared, it looks like the album should come out before the end of the year on the frighteningly successful-as-of-late rap/hip-hop wing of Atlantic Records (T.I., Lupe Fiasco, Gnarls Barkley, etc.).
