The new album by Montreal-based group Stars will be released tomorrow on iTunes and their label Arts & Crafts website, a full 11 weeks before the CD hits stores and a mere few days after the album's completion. This new method of discouraging the illegal trade of MP3s from albums leaking before their release date should help the band and label scratch some extra cash together. No work yet on how pissed your local record store clerk is.
