We knew that The Gray Kid write about all the coke slang (as in colloquialisms) and the coke slangin' (as in drug dealers) that seemed to be everywhere we went in 2006 in our year-end wrap-up issue. Half way through 2007, NYT just got a whiff of the movement (more than music, much?). We're not saying that they ripped us off–and Maybe it's just the cocaina talking–but at this point, cocaine's ubiquitous presence is about to turn against itself. Isn't that the pattern of the cool kid culture? When shit becomes too cool it no longer becomes cool?
