PepsiCo has gone artsy. For the first time in U.S. history a soda will be offered in Aluminum bottles that come in 12 unique designs. Now, drinkers can get all jacked up on Mountain Dew while gripping art. The bottle line is called Green Label Art and it will be released between May and Oct of 2007. Artists who took to the bottle as a canvas include Graff artist Dr. Revolt, tattooist Troy Denning, graphic designer Mark Nardelli, stencil artist Peat Wollaeger, collage-r Adam Juresko, sneaker/clothing specialist Jeffstaple and Hawthorne Heights’ JT Woodruff. Low-rider bicycles, limited editor new-era lids, skateboard decks and hoodies have all been branch projects inspired by the artists’ Green Label Designs. A consumer contest for 10,000 dollars is up for grabs online through an interactive program. The winner will be in the next year of Green Label Art designs.
