Truth be told, there are no shadows on the sun. Brother Ali has never been to the sun, we're guessing, but the heat on Friday's mainstage must've been pretty close to the power our solar system's center. I'm sure he could imagine. Ali's personal vignettes ground his thought provoking lyrics and off the soapbox that a few of his peers can never leave, and that preacher man boom in his voice makes all the world of difference when lessons are dropped.
