Kentaro Togawa first mailed me a demo three years ago and the music still stands alone as some of the most unique and powerful instrumental music I’ve heard. Building layer upon layer of electric guitars Kentaro creates a dense fog of sound reminding you of Philip Glass, Radiohead and Thomas Newman all at once. With titles like ‘The First Step to End the Life ‘ and ‘The Story of Girl Who is Socially Ostracised’ it ain’t exactly going to get the party going but if you’re in the mood for reflection, poignancy and fragmented beauty this is your man. Oh, and there’s a Si Begg remix on there too.
