Springing from a horror movie concept album, this track is more pensive than scary, but that doesn’t mean it lacks rattling chains and scattered murmurs. Maintaining its cinematic aspirations through strumming and string counterpoints, it nonetheless rests on its own laurels, proper for lone listening. Building towards an ominous metal direction, it restrains just shy of slasher-movie-core.
